Jennifer Love Hewitt Talks Engagement Rings, Betty White On 'Ellen'

Jennifer Love Hewitt may be getting a little bit ahead of herself.

The 'Ghost Whisperer' star sat down with Ellen Degeneres in an episode set to air Tuesday and spoke about, among other things, her new boyfriend, director Alex Beh, whom she's been dating since July.

"Well, I actually have three [engagement rings] because I feel like I'm doing the guy a favor," she told the host. "I feel women are very confusing. We never know what we want and we're not very good at nailing that down for them. And I feel like I don't want to be upset if he picks a bad ring, so I feel like having three picked out and saying, Look! Look at this plethora of things you can chose from!'"

When Ellen mentioned that maybe she was jumping the gun, Love Hewitt agreed -- maybe she should give him more options, she said.

The star also spoke about working with Betty White, and shared a funny anecdote:

"She's even more amazing than you want her to be. She's just awesome. It was really, really cool," Love Hewitt revealed. "She was really funny the first day, she came into the trailer and we hadn't really met yet. It was 5 o'clock in the morning and we had rollers in the hair and she just sits down in the chair and goes, 'So, what's it like not being the pretty one in the trailer anymore.'"

She's had quite a bit relationship drama in the past, but maybe she feels like she's really found the right guy this time around! Excited to see how this goes!

Love Hewitt might have gone a little far in already picking out the rings though, especially because there are easier ways to ensure that your hubby-to-be gets your perfect ring. How?

Hey Folks. Marriage is when your wife asks the most leading questions while you are brushing your teeth. Or you don't know how the traffic is to right at the busy intersection because someone is using the vanity mirror on the visor. Or, when the guy gets up in the middle of the night to relieve himself, when he comes back his half of the bed is made (can you imagine Jennifer Love Hewitt making a bed? In your dreams). Here I am all the way on the east coast and even I can smell her desperation. This may be why none of her relationships last: she is so desperate to be married that she scares her boyfriends off. She needs to learn to be OK with herself - by herself. (Same goes for Kate Hudson.)

I might be wrong, but I think she meant she has three picked out that she likes of which he could choose one. I guess she wants to play it safe and not be disappointed if he "surprised" her with a ring she doesn't like.
