Mark Sanford & Maria Belen Chapur PHOTO: Ex-Gov Pictured With Bikini-Clad Mistress

More photographs of former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford and his Argentinian mistress-turned-girlfriend are popping up Thursday, this time showing the two getting intimate on a beach in Uruguay.

On Wednesday, a picture surfaced on an Argentinian website showing the two holding hands at an undisclosed time and location. The photo reportedly followed up on an eight-page spread earlier published in an Argentinian celebrity magazine concerning a romantic rendezvous between the former governor and 43-year-old María Belén Chapur in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

The only people he owes an explanation to is his sons. He lectured about respecting the family and ultimately he couldn't give that respect to their mother. He has to try to explain that one to his kids, good luck with that.
If this would have been Jenny Sanford with a lover many would have demanded that she lose custody of her children. Men it seems can still have everything on their terms, must be nice.

He's not a governor anymore. He is not stealing time and money from his constituents any longer....so I would like to tell the media to stay out of his bedroom and off his beach towel.

Stories like this make it easy for the gov't to start encroaching into all of our private lives...because the public gets used to the voyuerism.

The revealing photos -- snapped in Punta del Este, Uruguay last Saturday -- show Sanford, 50, and Maria Belen Chapur, 43, sunbathing at the beach, and in one shot, we see Chapur appearing to lean in for a kiss.

Last Saturday he was not Governor he was a private citizen and a divorced one too.

Takes two to mambo. Plenty of stories of wives cheating, too.

Studies range in their estimates, but I've seen a fairly reliable one that suggests that 4% (1 in 25) children are not the biological child of the man they think--you know, the one married to mom. Mostly this is found out either in divorce proceedings, or when the child needs a transplant of some kind, and tests reveal that the father is not actually related.

I don' t care much for Mr. Sanford's politics and as with most republicans there is a great deal of hypocrisy from what he said to what he did. That being said, as long as he is not involved with politics, I would wish him well.

Gee, I guess when Mark told us he was hopping in his truck and heading somewhere east on I-26 that somewhere was the airport in Charleston. But hey, it's good to know that after running South Carolina into the ground and using taxpayer money to pay for airfare to Buenos Airies a guy can go down to South America and relax with his girlfriend. And I'll just bet they're saving themselves til marriage too.
