O'Hare Installing Mirror Ads In Bathrooms

Advertisers are getting in your face, literally. If you're having trouble seeing your reflection in bathroom mirrors at O'Hare International Airport, it's because they are digital billboards.

Clear Channel Outdoor teamed up with Mirrus to turn some O'Hare mirrors into interactive billboards, according to NBC Chicago.

The two companies plan to install 150 40-inch mirrors in both men's and women's restrooms throughout the airport within the next three months, reported the Chicago Tribune.

Ads will be gender specific and displayed on the entire mirror until people approach the sink, then the ads will shrink and move aside. Advertisers will be able to keep track of how many people stand in front of the mirror and for how long.

A Mirrus official said they would like to install the same type of billboard mirrors in Soldier Field, Wrigley Field and the United Center.
