Obama Streaker

PHILADELPHIA — A New York man has been sentenced to probation for streaking at a rally for President Barack Obama in Philadelphia.

Twenty-four-year-old Juan Rodriguez of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested on charges of indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and open lewdness after streaking at the October rally before thousands in the city's Germantown section.

He was trying to win a million-dollar prize offered by Internet billionaire Alki David. Rodriguez didn't get the $1 million.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports that a judge sentenced Rodriguez on Friday to two years' probation to be served in New York.

Rodriguez says he picked Philadelphia because he thought the city would be more lenient.

Prosecutors had been seeking 3 to 23 months in jail.

Shouldn't the person who said that he would give the money be held responsible as well?

The massive exportation of our jobs and our money has caused a very deep recession . We now have people that can not afford clothes .

To the larger issue. I'm interested to know has anyone tried to use this scenario to equate what the let's just say non-rich have to do to degrade themselves in order to make money from the rich who then refuses to pay? To the others on here with half a brain, why on earth are you talking about the man's weight?

The billionaire that put this out there to advertise his film company is pathetic. And he claims that the insult was that the unemployed "taker" of the challenge let the terms of the deal out? I'm thinking more like it was an insult to our President and all the people there to see and hear from him. Some may have brought their children to the rally and they're subjected to this. At least Alki David ended up giving this fellow $100,000 and it probably had its own strings attached.

As a child exposed to nudity, I simply didn't understand why the adults around me thought it was such a big deal. The reason? I was too young to share the same interests and desires as adults. It didn't shatter my innocence at all. Thus, I truly don't understand why this always gets brought up regarding nudity. Was your world destroyed the first time you saw someone naked?

Regardless, I agree with you that the man who offered the money in this cynical promotion effort is pathetic.
