TLC's Lineup Spoofed To Perfection With Spot-On Promo Parody (VIDEO)

If you've ever taken a look at TLC's lineup and asked yourself, "why is this called The Learning Channel?" then you are not alone. From Mostly Water Theatre comes this spot-on parody of TLC's bizarre array of programming, with hilarious altered names like "Dwarf Hoarders," "Uterus Cannon," and "Cake Whores." Talk about educational! All joking aside though, we seriously suggest TLC pick up "9 Fat Kids, 1 Dessert." That just sounds entertaining. (Via The Daily What)

Like Bravo, TLC used to be a great cable channel, until it went "reality".

The Discovery Networks should be ashamed and change the name.

Between Kate, 8 and Sarah, there is no reason to watch this "network" anymore.

And the Syfy channel now shows wrestling. Cable just plain sucks now except for a very small handful of channels. Too bad the cable companies will only sell you massive amounts of those crap channels at premium dinero.

MANY years ago, when I was finally able to afford cable stations, TLC actually had good programming: documentaries, science shows, history shows, etc. Then I started watching The History Channel & National Geographic because TLC was just running reruns of what I'd already seen more than once. Then when I went back to check if they had any new shows, I couldn't believe what they were showing. I actually looked up TLC on the internet to see if it still stood for The Learning Channel - it did, but it isn't! CHANGE YOUR NAME, PLEASE.

Well I learned that dwarfs are real people too, and some women see themselves as baby incubators. And that's pretty much it. Apparently I didn't know that before TLC came along. And hey, watching these shows makes me a good person too! I wish they would make a show about a Haitian family -- I could be even gooder!

The Soup had something similar with merging all of TLC's reality shows into one show: little people who bake cakes, collect tattoos, and have a massive number of children.
