I was depressed at that age cause I never was in a relationship in high school. Maybe I would have fared better if I had been in one, then again maybe not.

I believe this study. Teenage love is less about joy and more about morose angst. Love is not Edward Cullen kiddos.

I have read that our thoughts give us chemical reactions in the brain. They have done brain scans showing pictures of people's current loves and have seen the brain light up like a chemical high. So, to me it would make sense that the younger the person that needs that high that they could also feel the lows.
