Ex-Marine Kesaun Sykes Urinates In Courtroom At His Own Hearing

Kesaun Sykes (known as "Psycho") will be undergoing a mental health evaluation after he urinated in the courtroom at his own hearing. The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports that Sykes "stood up and began urinating, using his hands to fling drops of urine around the courtroom" last Friday during a pre-trail hearing for the murders of Sgt. Jan Pietrzak and wife Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak.

Sykes, along with fellow ex-Marines Emrys John, Tyrone Miller, and Kevin Cox, are on trial for murdering their sergeant in "execution-style slayings" in 2008. NBC San Diego reported back in 2008 that the four men admitted to robbing and murdering the couple, as well as sexually assaulting Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak.

When the investigation first began, detectives found "stolen items like Pietrzak's digital camera and his wife's engagement ring in the barracks," according to the NY Daily News. This led investigators to believe that robbery was the main motive for the attack, although it was later revealed that racial epithets were scrawled on the walls of the crime scene. Pietrzak and Jenkins-Pietrzak were an interracial couple.
