Prince William To Wear Gieves & Hawkes On Wedding Day: Report

William

Gosh! We've been so busy wondering about what Kate Middleton will wear on her wedding day, that we almost forgot about Prince William's garb. The UK Press Association writes that Wills will likely sport his RAF uniform: "It is reported that the Savile Row tailors Gieves & Hawkes, which already supplies suits to the royal, has been chosen to make the outfit."

The prince will also do some accessorizing. The UKPA adds:

William is a Knight of the Order of the Garter and on his wedding day is likely to wear the Order's blue sash, with its attached badge, and star.

The royal has received one military honour and will proudly wear his Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal.

WWD decided to follow-up on the (probably well-informed) rumor, but Clarence House declined to comment, however:

Gieves & Hawkes didn't entirely dismiss the idea. The tailoring house said, "We have for the past four years had the pleasure of making several garments for the HRH Prince William and family. To the best of our knowledge what the Prince will wear for his wedding is still to be decided."

He'll wear his Royal Airforce dress uniform, of course.
