Though fashion pays a lot of lip service to the idea of diversity, the majority of successful models remain white, stick-thin and female, and it still makes news when Halle Berry lands the cover of Vogue's September issue (she was the first black woman to do so since Naomi Campbell in 1989).
So it was heartening and actually interesting when Givenchy featured albino model Stephen Thompson in their Spring 2011 campaign. And now Thompson is taking another turn in Ammo Magazine as David Bowie. We're not sure we fully see the concept, but we like the pictures.
