The Huffington Post   First Posted: 02/02/11 11:48 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

Chinese New Year begins on February 3, so we've rounded up a list of fun events you can attend if you're in the mood for a celebration. Take in the sights and sounds of a traditional parade in either Chinatown or the San Gabriel Valley. You can also celebrate by participating in a run, scavenger hunt, or even ping pong tournament. And if you want to say "Gung Hay Fat Choy!" in between mouthfuls, check out Zagat's list of the best restaurants in Southern California for Chinese New Year.
