First Posted: 02/04/11 05:14 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

With so many daily developments coming out of Egypt, the media has been overwhelmed with updates and photos of the protests. Huffington Post reader Laura Schlichting is currently in Egypt and sent us photos that she took of the surrounding events, including some photos of today's 'Day of Departure.' These pictures provide a fascinating perspective from directly on the ground. Take a look.

Check out our comprehensive reporting from Egypt's protests along with a who's who on the important figures involved at our Egypt Revolution Guide. For the latest updates, you can follow our live blog here.

I always thought these were civilized people, but burning a Hardee's is reprehensible and shows they have a long ways to go to be like us Americans. We'd burn the Taco Bell.

The US should invade and take out this dektator (what's that a potato on the back porch?). After all the success in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, why not?

I wish hp would figure out what is wrong with Bigshots.

I use XP SP3, and Firefox 3.6.13

In order to get Bigshots to work I have to right-arrow to the next-to-last slide, and then back-arrow.

Otherwise, when I right arrow, I see nothing. Blank.

luved the picture of the woman smiling and talking on her cell phone.one can just imagine the conversation.

"Aww, it's still snowing where you are and you've been stuck at home for two whole days? How dreadful. How simply dreadful. Oh me? I'm just at the market to pick up a few things. i don't know if you've heard but we're having a bit of a revolution at the moment. Hmm? Dear could you speak up it's a bit noisy out in the square, what with all the revolution in the background. Oh yes, yes the weather's lovely. Well I must be getting back. Oh I know, I'd love to talk longer too but you see mobile service is a bit spotty at the moment and my camel is double parked. You know how it is. Buh bye now. Toodles."

Israel, the US, and the love for dictators: http://www.counterpunch.org/weir02042011.html

While the US taxpayers have been paying to support Mubarak and his torture chambers, the US politicians have been happily profiteering on the US taxpayers’ blood and treasure

Once again huffpuff, the big pictures are attractive. The fact that they obscure any caption information is not so attractive. Put some damn captions on the photos to give us context. Wtf, I didn't have to attend journalism school to know that much, what were you clowns doing when you were supposed to be studying your profession?

Egyptians are right. 0bama deIuded the Egyptians. Many promises of hope, and in the end nothing. All 0bama's 2ionist policies have been a photocopy of W. Bush against PaIestine and in support of the US supported dictator Mubarak. It is time for change, and hopefully the MusIim Brotherhood will take over that Egyptian government.

MB is not going to take over anything in Egypt and you keep spreading false info. The MB has not been a major influence at all. This is a People's Revolt.Don't try to make it something that it's not.

And what exactly do you think Pres. Obama is supposed to. He's the President of the US, not Egypt.

Please stop regurgitating the myths put out on MSM.
