I have said this before, but I want to say it again....

Many years ago, I had a job that brought me into contact with many of the rich and famous, especially well known major movie stars. At that time, I never, even once, saw any paparazzi, and I much prefer the way things were done then to the way they are done now. Sure there were photographers at major movie openings, and at the Oscars, and at funerals, but hounding someone who is merely going out to lunch is crossing the line.

Treating people like Natalie Portman this way cheapens everyone, and I would be glad to see some laws passed to protect these people from predatory photographers. Our society is worse off for allowing the paparazzi phenomenon to exist.

Short, thin women generally pop out early on. It's worse if you also have a short waist. I have the short and short waisted excuse...the thin one, not so much. In one way it's reassuring to know that other women get this big early on, but mostly the coverage of her preggo belly is creeping me out. I mean really, really creeping me out. Please stop.

Thanks to this site, I now officially despise Natalie. It's not even her fault. And why are we celebrating her ability to go out while pregnant? Don't millions of women do this every day? And, SHOCK, some of them do real work while pregnant. Sure, I bet being pregnant at a movie premiere is really really hard work, and I hope somehow she finds a way to persevere. I mean, after all, Gwyneth managed it somehow...

I imagine Ms. Portman could afford to retire from work for the rest of her life, if she so chose, and if she were willing to live a modest life-style.
For most women in Western society working is not an option, but a necessity. Here in CA the state pays workers compensation for 12 weeks around the time of a birth, but in some countries a whole year of time-off is paid for. Given that the US has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies of any Western country, we might not want to find another reason to encourage teens to become mothers. Seems a shame though. A woman who has been responsible shouldn't be punished because of so many irresponsible mothers.

Whoever coined the phrase "baby bump"...needs to GO AWAY!!!!

When a woman is this far along, it is no longer a "bump"...IT'S A BABY!!!!

I can guarantee..."baby bump" will end up being the most overused phrase of 2011 and banned shortly thereafter.
