'The Kennedys' Miniseries: Katie Holmes As Jackie Kennedy Preview (VIDEO)

Now that a network has elected to air it, we can take a look at the controversial 'Kennedys' mini-series.

The eight part series, produced by noted conservative Joel Surnow, was pulled from its scheduled airing by The History Channel after complaints from the Kennedy family and a protest led by liberal filmmaker Robert Greenwald, was finally picked up by ReelzChannel on Wednesday after another series of rejections, led by Showtime's passing. The pickup was a savior for the expensive series, led by Greg Kinnear (JFK) and Katie Holmes (Jackie Kennedy).

ReelzChannel has released a preview for the stormy epic, which examines John F. Kennedy's time in the Presidency, up to his assassination in 1963. For more on the series, including controversial looks at the Kennedys' alleged womanizing, read the leaked preview here.

This girl is a mediocre TV actress, who managed to screw up her one shot at the big league (co-starring in Batman Begins, where she was the weakest link in a great cast) by having her then-boyfriend steal the limelight from her movie premier to promote his own bad film and humiliate himself by jumping on Oprahs couch. No wonder she didn't return for the sequel. And here she is with Greg Kinnier again, and not getting topless.

I think the real Jackie Kennedy Onassis had more of a NY/Long Island accent. I thought Katie Holmes' impression was a little off as far as the voice was concerned.

I don't really care about the controversy over how they may be misrepresenting the Kennedy family. They are public figures and therefore are fair game for this kind of stuff.
However, who the heck cast Barry Pepper as Bobby Kennedy? The dude looks nothing like Bobby.
