Ashton Kutcher Puts Bachelor Pad On The Market for $2.6 Million

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 02/05/11 11:50 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

Via Zillow: Ashton Kutcher has listed his old bachelor pad for a modest $2.6 million (by Hollywood standards). Described as a "modern craftsman," this home features four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, a home theater, and a two-story wine cooler that can hold 210 bottles. The indoor/outdoor floorplan allows visitors to flow outside to an infinity-edge spa, pool, and waterfall. The estate sits on just under an acre of landscaped grounds behind a gated drive, allowing for privacy. After purchasing the home in 2004, the actor and his father, Larry, renovated and expanded it from roughly 2,000 square feet to 3,235 square feet.

Zillow reports that the star will not just sell his labor of love, but will also have "an online home listing and designer showcase to benefit the Demi and Ashton Foundation (DNA), a non-profit organization that raises awareness about child sex slavery and helps in the rehabilitation of the victims." Gilt.com is now selling tours of the home, which has been staged by five LA designers, at $250 per person. All proceeds from the home tour ticket sales--as well as a portion of listing agent Gary Gold's commission from the home's sale--will go directly to DNA. To purchase a ticket to see this celebrity pad, visit Gilt City Los Angeles.

We'll have to draw straws OR do a time-share thingy.

It's really a cool house.

I wouldn't put a lot of furniture in it, what about you?

It's beautiful! I love the indoor/outdoor options. If I could afford to buy this, I'd move back to L.A.

The kitchen is a bit small for the size of the place. But I can't believe I'm admitting that this since its Ashton's bach. pad...but I actually love it.

way overpriced...

maybe 1.4 million

no view, horrible location...

remember over 50% of sales in LA are REO, short sales and foreclosures... and they are not counted in Case Shlller...

so all those saying real estate prices are going up.. totally BS

another 50% drop in LA coming over the course of the 2 decades... yeah don't believe it?

check out Japanese real estate on wiki...

yeah I know we are not Japan.. yeah right... did I hear about QE3 coming from the Bernank and raising of the debt ceiling?

You mention that the home is in a "horrible location." So where is it exactly? I don't see the neighborhood listed? I would assume that it's in the Hollywood Hills.

for me, the interest will be in how close to the asking the sale price is.In NYC,people who's incomes aren't tied geographically are selling (and renting) anticipating the bigger decrease in housing values as the state struggles.Since California is actually imploding, I wonder if the Rich People's Smart advisers aren't giving the 'Sell" sign,

Beautiful property -- wish I had 2.5 million. I'd buy it in a minute.

Very nice home but I do have to ask why there is a low, long shelf attached to one wall opposite the wine rack? It doesn't look like you can sit on it so basically it's taking up a whole wall in the kitchen where actual furniture or a counter could be placed. It looks nice but it's in the wrong place, IMO.
