Bristol Palin: I'll 'Probably' Run For Political Office 'Down The Road'

First Posted: 02/08/11 10:46 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

Bristol Palin said recently that she might be taking the path of her mother, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, by seeking political office at some point.

During an interview with E! Online, the former "Dancing With the Stars" runner-up and possible future author said that she would "probably" run for office some day, but that the day would be "further down the road."

Asked what would drive her to enter politics, Palin gave a response that sounded similar to one that her mother had given before.

"If I saw something that needed to be changed, then I would step up to the plate and do something about it," Palin answered.

While Bristol waits to mount a potential political bid of her own, she told E! News that she remains firmly in support of her mom's potential quest for higher office.

"I think she would be a wonderful president, and I still think that she should run," Palin said. "She's just so common-sense conservative, just, 'Here's what we've gotta do and this is how we're gonna do it,' and she brings a whole 'nother aspect to politics because she's a mom, because she runs a household, and I just think she's really smart."

"and I just think she's really smart."
Of course the smart threshold is pretty low where they come from.

She looks like a baby without all that makeup. This poor girl doesn't stand a chance of having any kind of normal life.

She has already beat her mom - she finished something! Sure Dancing with the stars....but she finished it! Now, Bristol - don't embarrass yourself like your mother does every time she opens her mouth.....just take your money and start a company or something reputable that doesn't tear down people around you just so you can climb on top of them to escalate your personal self!

I don't see why everyone is so shocked. Her mother has become a millionaire with no discernable skills. All Bristol has to do is wink and throw around some folksy "U betchas" and she's political gold.

After reading that "Mamma Grizzly" blamed the poor kid's pregnancy for her loss in the election and forced Bristol to go on DWTS to improve her own favorablility ratings, I have a hard time being hard on the kid. It's not tough to understand why she took her DWTS $$$ and bought a house as far away from Mom as possible. Imagine having to grow up with the Narcissistic Refrigerator Killer.

The new educational requirement for President and politicians according to the Palin women is Jr. College. Don't get me wrong, I got an A.A. before I went to a University. But only one Jr. College and one University.
Seems like Sarah couldn't stay at one and Bristol 'is thinking about going. How low has the level gone down.

Let me get this straight...Bristol thinks mom will be a great president because she knows how to run a house hold and is very smart....I just spilled out my tea laughing so hard. Bristol honey... I question your mom's smartness and I thank god she is not running the country as she runs her house hold...thank god.

I can make a great Lasagna! I can also host a great Thanksgiving Dinner, with everything made from scratch, (Including the universe.) from soup to nuts to apple pies, and everything timed to perfection. Plus, now this is a plus, which I think can make me even a possible candidate for President of the Universe, I can make a mean Bloody Mary. And last but not least, this is a double plus, I have a College degree, and from one (1) College! Got your momma beat there Bristol! Plus, plus, plus, I don't slaughter animals on national TV for PR reasons!

It's the money - nothing more, nothing less. Just why did she move all the way from Alaska to a suburb of Phoenix or Tucson, buy a house for $170,000 and talk about enrolling in a community college. I wonder just exactly what is behind that move, especially because it is to Arizona and she has absolutely no family or friends there, except the "tea party"types, the NRA, the Patriots, etc. Stay tuned.
