DENVER -- The state will not get involved with a study of chemicals used in natural-gas drilling, legislators decided Monday.

Rep. Roger Wilson, D-Glenwood Springs, wanted state agencies to review an upcoming federal study to see if hydraulic fracturing is affecting drinking water. He also wanted a report to the Legislature about the number of complaints to the state about fracking.

Shoot, what harm does a little diesel fuel or chemicals in their water do? If they don't like it they should move to town, right?

Either the legislators are soliciting bribes from natural gas companies, or they are stupid. Where's the legislation that requires fracking proposals be forwarded to the attorney general for prosecution "prima facie"?

The article states: "Environmentalists were split on the bill. The Colorado Environmental Coalition supported it, but the Earthworks Oil and Gas Accountability Project, based in Durango, opposed it."

So you must think the the EOGAP is also soliciting bribes, or they are stupid, because they opposed the legislation?
