Michelle Obama: President Doesn't Dye His Hair

WASHINGTON — Michelle Obama says the president doesn't use hair coloring, and that "it's too late" to do anything about the touches of gray in his hair.

The first lady blamed "lighting" for the differences between two photographs taken of President Barack Obama one day last month. His hair looks darker in one photo than the other.

Mrs. Obama told NBC's "Today" show Wednesday that her husband "is pretty gray" and might have started dyeing his hair 10 years ago" if he had known he would become president.

She also said Obama "cares very little about his appearance." She said wishes the president would try "a different color suit," and she and her daughters "cheer when he puts on a bright-colored shirt."

Gray adds a touch of patriarchal authority to Obama's trim, youthful image.

AND we may have it backwards, what if Obama was dyeing his hair gray?

For if I recall properly, it seemd that Obama's hair became noticably grayer shortly after the election.

According to his wife and even himself, he is unlikely to call them.  One of his pet peeve is havin to be powdered down for the cameras.  I am fine with Barak Obama being exactly who he is.  He was comfortable in his own skin even when he was running around with giant holes in the soles of his shoes.

There are more important things in life. Much more important things. But my 2 cents... with lots of black guys the longer you let your hair grow, the more the gray is visible because it has a way different texture than black hair.
