Winter Attack Ad: Political Spoof Asks You To 'Vote Summer'

Regardless of how you felt about the results of the 2010 elections, we can probably all agree that we're glad it's over. Those dramatic-music TV spots that spewed partisan vitriol and economic gloom-and-doom are finally, if only briefly, done with.

Still, much of America is in the midst of one season that might be even harsher than a political season: winter.

This hilarious mock ad is a take-off on those brutal campaign spots, but targeted at the weather we love to hate. Everything about it is pitch-perfect: the music, the visuals and especially the great voice-over guy.

And yes, it's an AOL video, but that had nothing to do with it. We really just liked it.

I kept dropping my keys today cuz my fingers were so numb from the cold. And don't tell me to move south because it was snowing in Oklahoma today.

My vote is for summer. I love summer. The more hot and humid the better. I don't even have an air conditioner that is how dedicated I am to summer. I'm a purist when it comes to summer. After all this great nation and moi were both born in July.

It's pretty bad when I'm in layer after layer and I'm still not warm. I even have a heating pad and still I'm cold. :(

Winter is obviously a Communist hell-bent on the freezing our Constitution in a block of ice! You want proof? Here's my proof! *runs over to a chalkboard with scribbles on it* Here you see Soviet Russia. Russia had Communists. What else did Russia have? Winters! Harsh winters. And don't even get me started on the People's Republic of Canada. I'm warning you America. It can happen here too. Look at the dome of the Capitol building. It looks like an...igloo! That's right; the dome as we know it was built in 1855, just a few years after the Communist Manifesto was published! Winter's agents have been trying to subvert our great Nation for over 150 years. *starts to cry* I just *sniff* love my country so much.
