Arnold Schwarzenegger Planning Movie Comeback

Arnold Terminator 2

He said he'll be back, and now he's keeping his promise: Arnold Schwarzenegger is plotting a movie return.

Originally a body builder before making a transition to action movies, Schwarzenegger won the 2003 recall election to become Governor of California. Now, Schwarzenegger's time in office is over, and so he's looking to move back to film. Schwarzenegger tweeted today: "Exciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light."

CAA refers to the talent agency that represents him.

As The Hollywood Reporter points out, Schwarzenegger, who is best known for his "Terminator" films, took on a number of bit parts in films throughout his governorship. Those included the 2004 "Around the World in 80 Days" remake, as well as summer 2010's action extravaganza "The Expendables."

Schwarzenegger had previously mused on his film return, saying that he was reading and considering three different scripts. One would see him star as a kind hearted Nazi soldier that eschews orders to kill a group of kids, instead returning them to safety.

That sounds action-packed, but he's realistic about his big screen limitations this time around.

"In the future I have to adapt my roles to my age," he told an Austrian newspaper. "Clint Eastwood also has done it in the same way. Extreme fighting or shooting is not possible anymore. I want to be more encouraged as an actor and I believe that I can manage this challenge. I am like a sponge, which is absorbing all the knowledge and always be willing to learn all new things."

I am glad he is making more movies. Hey, if you don't care for his movies, like music, the world is full of other choices.

Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

Let's recall before he became the governor Arnold was making a string of increasingly awful movies that were box office flops. Arnold is not exactly set to segue into character roles. Character roles usually reguire... acting.

I am still waiting for the story that was promised at the end of Conan, where they showed Conan on a throne as an old man. let's see how he got that throne.

About two or three decades too late for that! By the way Jason Momoa is said to reprise the Conan role!

I'd like to see him come back. Let's be real though. Some actors play basically the same charactor in all their films and that's not always bad. John Wayne is the perfect example. Some actors can play any charector and do it well. Tom Hanks is the perfect example of that. Arnold is a one dimension actor but that's not bad I suppose. After all, everyone loved John Wayne after all.

when he was in politics he never stopped making films-Arnold is no Clint Eastwood no matter how much money his movies made; slightly icky that he can't survive out of the limelight

Please let him put ALL his money into a comeback flic w/ Stallone, Seagal, and Wesley Snipes.

One of the funniest scenes in Arnold's movies was in Twins, right after he'd had
sex for the first time. The look on his face was truly a laugh out loud riot. Made you spit
your milk out your nose. Comedy is a good fit for him.
