Michelle Obama style watchers: get thee to an H&M, stat! The Washington Post reports that the first lady wore a frock from the fast fashion chain for her interviews on "The Today Show" and "Regis & Kelly" on Wednesday:

The dress is part of their current collection and retails for $34.95. She paired the dress with a thick red belt and yellow kitten heels. It appears she did not wear the red sash that accompanies the dress.

The first lady's office didn't comment on who designed her accessories, but confirmed that she was wearing a dress by the fast-fashion retailer H&M.

Michelle is no stranger to bargain duds, previously stepping out in a dress from Target and a $10 t-shirt from Gap.

Check out her look, in case you missed it, and tell us what you think.

i believe the First Lady is somewhat too large to be belting a dress. she is not as slim as in her youth. i also believe she does not have to wear "affordable" clothes...she is representing the United States of America...she will never be an average person...she will never have the shoddy healthcare that her husband wants us to pay for and we will be receiving the poorest of care...they are the elite but they want the rest of us to be equal...trying to eliminate the middle class...want us all to look to the government for help...not me i will go out and make things happen for myself!

Kudos to the First Lady, she has great fashion sense and the statement she is making by wearing an inexpensive frock is exactly what we need in times of no money. I really like this classy lady, setting an example of being thrifty yet looking good. I remember Nancy Reagan wearing those horrible designer outfits that were just plain ugly.

The dress is pretty on Michelle Obama.
Maybe navy shoes would match better.
The cost of the dress is irrelevant.

Matchy matchy is not in style anymore. She would have look frumpy in navy shoes the yellow shoes livened up her outfit.

furthermore, I find fasion simply fabulous but am free from pesticides, am open-minded, virile yet discreet, simply adore lower taxes, government inactivity as far as my finances are concerned, Love freedom of speech in modesty, and practice strong national and personal defense. I am a crack shot with all calibers of weapons, skilled in hand to hand and mouth to mouth combat and simply adore mimes. I used to frequent the east village but abandoned it to pursue higher acadmics and a wider fields of usefulness. I once met about a thousand celebrities, none of whom for some strange reason reamain in constant contact, althoug I long to hear from them all.

For those of you hyper concerned with your neighbors' fashions may I say that my entire wardrobe today came from Goodwill Industries and cost less than $20.00 American. And for those seeking beyond Craigslist lately, and adore grey that I do not blow dry my chest hair, nor trim it, nor do I wear a gold chain around my neck. And if I did it would not be adorned with a cross, a medallion, a star of david or a star and/ or crescent/sword. I love sports, classical music, cats, dogs, body building virtue, freedom from choice and other conservative values.

I love the idea of the red belt and yellow shoes.....Can't stand everything matching...horrible...even bracelets and earrings...anything...except both shoes should be one color!!!!!

I know garment industry well and I know that the cost of modifying one dress is minimal. For a low priced store like H&M , the fabric is less than $5 a yard and the designers, pattern, makers, and sewers each are so experienced that it takes them less than 1/2 day to design, adapt or make a pattern, cut the fabric and sew the garment- especially when it is a simple adaptation to an already existing garment. All they need before doing anything is Mrs. Obama's measurements. Actually, many average level seamstresses or tailors could use the fabric from an extra purchased dress to make sleeves. I love Mrs. Obama but not the wide red belt. Any wide belt is not her friend. On her, with that dress, I would have preferred a no wider than 1" wide red belt, and black shoes. As worn, the red belt and yellow shoes are competing with each other and distracting from Mrs. Obama's lovely face. Neither, though, distracted from her very important message.

First Lady Michelle Obama is my favorite White House Spouse.

She is accomplished, compassionate towards others, stylish and simply amazing. No wonder so many on the right are jealous.

That is good "true this". I'm glad their stock has gone up.

Now I think the belt and shoes look .......different for me, but for her; it works! It shows confidents. She knew people were going to complain but she didn't care. I Love Mrs Obama!
