Pete Wentz BEGGED Ashlee Simpson To Stay Before Divorce: Source

So this split may not have been so "amicable" after all.

When Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson announced their divorce on Wednesday after three years of marriage, it seemed that it was a friendly decision. "It's very amicable. They're on very friendly terms and speaking - it's fine," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE Magazine.

Not so fast, says TMZ. According to their sources, Wentz is "getting divorced against his will," and did not want the marriage to end. He tried to talk her out of it, but obviously, Simpson moved ahead with the split.

The pair have a son, two-year old Bronx Mowgli. Despite any controversy, they've promised to make him their number one priority. It's a sad end for what was a fairy tale marriage -- literally. The pair wed at an "Alice In Wonderland" themed wedding in 2007.

Here's hoping they stick to their pledge and keep their son's best interests a top priority. Divorces are no picnic for the couple itself, but it's all too easy to let the needs of the kids get lost in the shuffle of all the stress. Sending best wishes to little Bronx.

I feel bad for the both of them that they are going through this, but does anyone else remember when Ashlee used to try to make Jess jealous when Jess was single and Ash was married with baby? She would make underhanded remarks about it to the press and I always thought it was pretty shady of her to do that and that karma may get back at her for it. Looks like it finally did. Additionally, I think Ashlee rushed into this marriage and baby as a way to one-up Jessica and try to grab some attention from her. Jess was always the more talented, popular one and Ashlee always seemed jealous of her. Since Ash's music career flopped, she did what a lot of girls do in that situation, shack up with a guy and have a baby. How that adds to self-worth, I don't know. But I have noticed a few other less popular sisters do this for attention and it's an odd trend (Solanj Knowles, Jamie Lynn Spears, Kourtney Karda shian, etc.). If you are going to be jealous of and try to one-up your sister, at least do it with something less serious and something that actually adds to your self worth (like going to school, getting a new job, etc.). Why rope an innocent baby into your obvious self-esteem problems?

Why do people b@sh Pete for wearing eye-liner. In my culture, men sometimes do it to bring out their eyes and I think it can be sexy. We put eye-liner (kohl) on babies, too. And, of course, us ladies use it regularly. Why can't we live in a world wear all people can freely wear eye liner without fear of pers ecution or ab use. Let's move on as a society, shall we? lol

I think that chin is courtesy of a weight loss taken too far, not implants. She looks sickly. I recall a picture where I could see her ribs quite easily (although I don't know how long ago that was).

She has always had a prominent chin. If anything, she got it shaved down. I think it suits her.

Yeah, it definitely doesn't look shaved down at all. Whether it's weight loss or plastic surgery, she needs to get it reversed. It totally doesn't suit her, it looks like a battering ram! D:
