First Posted: 02/13/11 09:20 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

Once a year, gramophone become valuable to more than just antique shops and museums. That's because, at the Grammy Awards, they're made of gold. And mean you've been selected as the best.

The 53rd annual Grammy Awards take place Sunday night and plenty of gramophones are being handed out. Eminem leads all nominees with ten nods, while Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber and many other distinguished pop musicians are eager to get their hands on the trophies themselves.

Read our Grammy live blog here.

Here's a running list of the winners:

I missed the show!
Did Mumford and Sons win anything or just sing? I love them.

I'm glad Muse won... Also enjoyed the Letterman Top 10 segue into Mumford & Son -> Avett Brothers -> Dylan, though they probably should have left Bob's mic turned off. Avetts are a great band. Really nice seeing them up there.

While I heard about this group when it started, it is time to point out the extremely unpleasant connotations of the name "Lady Antebellum." The term "antebellum" is used in American English almost exclusively to discuss the American South before the Civil War and specifically in relation to chattel slavery. I am not accusing the band members of racism, just ignorance. The name is inappropriate.

I'm listening to Miranda Lambert right now. :) So glad she won, and Lady A as well. Country music makes me happy.

While I think Arcade Fire's album "The Suburbs" is good, I think Mumford & Sons' album "Sigh No More" should have won Album of the Year--at the very least.

There isn't a song on that entire album that isn't worth putting on repeat. And this is just their official debut.

Lady Antebellum wins grammys for ripping off the Alan Parson's Project. Oh well.

The original is much better:

Has anyone ever wondered, or asked, why Lady Antebellum chose Antebellum for their name? It's puzzling considering the dictionairy defines it as BEFORE THE CIVIL WAR, when slavery was fully legal in this country. It may be unintentional, but they might as well wear white hoods to receive their awards.

They're probably unaware OR maybe the really do WANT THE SOUTH TO RISE AGAIN.

A good reporter should ask, so that we can be clear.

according to Wikipedia: the name Antebellum comes from when the group were photographing "antebellum" homes. The antebellum architectural style (antebellum meaning 'pre-war') describes the large plantation homes in the American South....While photographing the houses one of the group said that there's a great band name in there...

Well, they should have thought about it a little longer, and consulted a dictionary or librarian.

Performance wise, Mick Jagger showed them how it's done. No dancers and stage production; just Mick and the stage.

I like Mick, but after the ex just said (recently) that he has a "teenie-weenie," my eyes kept focusuing on his package.

It appears to be VERY small, indeed.
