Los Angeles Lakers To Launch Their Own Network

Feb 14, 2011 - The Los Angeles Lakers and Time Warner Cable have reached a deal to launch two regional sports T.V. networks that will carry all locally available Lakers games. The Lakers and Time Warner announced the deal Monday afternoon. The networks, one of which will become the nation's first Spanish-language regional sports network, will launch in time for the 2012-13 season. Local Lakers games are currently broadcast on FoxSports West and KCAL-TV.
