Rihanna & Drake's Grammys Performance 2011 (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

First Posted: 02/14/11 08:34 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

If you don't know their names yet, you sure will after this.

Rihanna and Drake set the Grammys ablaze -- in more ways than one -- with their risque performance of their hit song, "What's My Name?" Wearing what appeared to be just a swimsuit with some fringe, and swinging her hips like lethal weapons, Rihanna made sure you'll remember her name.

She also made another loud fashion statement during the red carpet arrivals.

Watch the video below, with photos underneath.

It is all distraction to keep the young masses enthralled and unaware of all the shiat going on in the world...especially in the US of A. Ho hum. Sleepy time.

I like Rihanna's music, but she needs to take a lesson from Beyonce: sexy does not have to be degrading.

For all of you that think Rihanna's performance (which I thought was smokin') was vulgar--is her costume and antics that much worse than what Jane Russell did in a french courtroom in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" c. 1953???

To all the defenders, Sideshow Bob is getting sued by David LaChappelle for stealing his ideas for her S&M video. I have seen the photos, it seems very interesting and very plausible.

Rihanna has sold more than 25 million albums[9] and 45 million singles worldwide.[10] She has achieved nine number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 since first appearing on the chart on June 11, 2005, which is the most by any artist during that time span.[11][12] As of July 23, 2010, Rihanna has sold approximately 5,563,000 album units in the US.[13] Billboard named Rihanna the Digital Songs Artist of the 2000s decade.[14] She has received several accolades, including the 2007 World Music Awards for World's Best-Selling Pop Female Artist and Female Entertainer of the Year, as well as the 2008 American Music Awards for Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist.[15][16] She serves as one of Barbados's honorary cultural ambassadors.[17] In January 2010, Rihanna received two Grammy Awards for Jay-Z's 2009 single "Run This Town, also for :Only Girl in The World" 2011, I guess she is just talented at being sexy? Please haters continue your ignorance.

Your point? McDonald also sells lots of food and sukkkksss..
02:32 PM on 02/15/2011
You just made it for me. Lol, McDonalds is doing something right. Just because you don't like them, doesn't make them go away or stop them from being successful. What you say sucks others say is delicious, same can be said for Rihanna. You know their name, just like you know Rihanna's (no pun intended). Mickey D's isn't worried about you as a consumer or losing any money over you, neither is she. McDonald's is still around and thriving and so is she. Her success has allowed her to donate to charities, take care of her family and more. Maybe if you were benefiting from the success your take would be different.

Said Drake: I was just happy to be there.

I give as good as I get. Keep that in mind.

I loved the performance and I'm sure many did as well. The crowd definitely didn't seem to be complaining. If you have it, flaunt it and both Rihanna and Drake are on top of the music industry game right now.

The video may be raunchy, but I looove the video. It is so sweet and romantic. They exhibit real chemistry. And he is charming.

I like Rhianna, I just feel this performance was degrading and creepy. Respect yourself!

Plus, her vocals made Katie Perry sound good. That said, I'd rather hear actual singing even if it's a tad off key rather than lip sync as Lady G did.
11:38 AM on 02/15/2011
Did you hear Katy Perry singing in that swing? Lol, I had to turn the channel it was so bad.

a lot of sex appeal makes good music? for some apparently...

the whole thing staged a tribal dance but all that gyrating is not necessary...

reading some of the gossip make it sound Rihana is going through some tough times of sort..i even read she wanted the 50 yd distance from her ex to be lifted...if true, sounds like she needs some therapy.
