Back on topic. We got to thinking what SI shoot locations are the absolute hottest ever since they started putting bikini babes on newsstands in 1964.

We've defined "hottest" for our own purposes here at The Huffington Post and narrowed the locations down to 15. And we rank those 15 selections based on a highly scientific point system and our own travel editing prowess. Each location gets scored in the following categories on a 0 to 5 scale.

  • Unexpected: Maui, Bahamas...Arizona? The more unique a locale the more points it gets.
  • Location Beauty: While all are gorgeous, we rank the gorgeousness of each.
  • Perceived Model Discomfort: Points are given if models had to pose on volcanoes, use excessive moisturizer or pose in uncomfortable situations. Cruel, we know.
  • Actual Hotness: How hot is the place really? Temperature wise.

The more points the location gets the higher it ranks. If there's a tie, we break it with biased opinion. All rankings and opinions are completely subjective. So tell us which locations you think we missed, and rank your favorites.

For reference, here's a list of past shoots.
