Youngstown Fraternity Shootings

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — An Ohio prosecutor overseeing the case of a fatal shooting at a fraternity house party says charges against one of the two suspects likely will be dropped.

The Vindicator newspaper in Youngstown reports Mahoning County prosecutor Paul Gains made the comment Monday. Gains says one suspect has pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in a bill of information and the assault and aggravated murder charges against him probably will be dropped.

The second suspect faces similar charges for this month's shooting, which killed a Youngstown State University student and injured 11 people.

Prosecutors have said two more people face felony charges connected to the case. Gains says a fifth man was arraigned Monday on a felony obstruction of justice charge linked to the case.
