I saw it from my office in the northern side of Long Island Sound!

I saw two bolides explode north of the San Fernando Valley in 1977. When it happened I thought that we were under nuclear attack. Very scary/impressive, and unforgettable.

I have seen a lot of meteors in my life, and I even saw one that looked like it made it all the way to the ground a couple of miles away here in Orange County, but seeing a pair of fireballs explode in the sky is a humbling experience.
