UberTwitter Is Toast, But These Travel Twitterers Are Going Strong

UberTwitter bit the dust today (along with Twidroyd) for allegedly violating the Twitter's policies and trademarks, but will return as UberSocial.

Despite the shutdowns it hasn't stopped these travel twitterers from well, tweeting.

Influencersintravel.com ranks the top online influencers based on the Klout Score.

The Klout Score is essentially the measurement of a person's overall influence online, and these Tweeters earned high marks in the ranking scores.

@HuffPostTravel selected these twitterers from that list because we know they won't let the loss of UberTwitter get them down, and can be expected to carry on with quality travel tweeting goodness.

Ha! I don't know much about UberTwitter either & I was a very early one on Twitter ( we even won Best Lonely Planet Travel Blog Award for it and were recently interviewed by the BBC about how social media is changing travel). So don't feel bad! ;)

We're very pleased too to be remain in the top 10 on that klout top travel influencers list also! We've been traveling the world as a family non-stop for the last 5 years so Twitter is one of our lifelines and fun too!

I'm not really sure what uber twitter has to do with online influencers in travel. I'm glad you highlighted some of them, but there are quite a few more (yes, me included :) that should have made your list.

I never used ubertwitter anyways and if you think this is a big deal Jason Calacanis already foretold the downfall of all companies who base their entire business model around building on Twitter. This is only the beginning.
