Camille Grammer: CNN Oscar Correspondent

Her ex-husband is headed down the aisle, but Camille Grammer is headed to the self-styled worldwide leader in news.

Grammer, who finalized her acrimonious divorce with now ex-husband Kelsey earlier this month, has been hired by CNN to cover the Oscars on February 27th. She'll be an on-location co-host and fashion and celebrity commentator for their special, "Showbiz Tonight: Road to Gold," which airs at 7 pm on CNN and 11 pm on Headline News.

Let's hope Kelsey isn't at the awards -- that could get ugly.

Camille, of course, has plenty of experience in front of the camera. She's currently a star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," and has had small roles in movies such as "Private Parts" and "Deconstructing Harry". And this isn't her only February TV spot -- she guest starred on episode of "$#*! My Dad Says" on Thursday night. She even studied theater at UCLA.

What does CNN have to do with "news" anymore? I trusted CNN when back when Ted Turner ran the network, but since they went all Faux on us, I have a hard time watching them. I think CNN and Faux should be required to display a little symbol in the corner of the screen when they're airing commentary versus real news reporting. On the rare occasion when they just report news, the symbol should be the letters BS, surrounded by a red circle with a slash through it. All the other times, the symbol should be a clown head.

I only recognized her from the Housewives commercial that gives me nightmares. The women on that show scare me with all the protruding bones and plastic enhancements. I seriously hope that as I age I don't feel the need to look like they do.
