'The Art of Flight,' a new movie that follows a team of professional snowboarders through remote backcountry terrain from Alaska to Patagonia, will not be released until September, but the trailer is here now, and it is incredible.

The movie, not to be confused with the 2005 documentary of the same name about Sudanese refugees living in Cairo, was made by Quiksilver, Red Bull Media House, and Brain Farm Cinema, a boutique production house that specializes in "aerial cinematography."

Snowboarding fans, film enthusiasts, and people who are just plain sick of winter will be glad they saw this:

Ahh, to be young and rich and spend life playing in the mountains. And then make a movie about how cool you are. Lucky boys but don't forget that everything changes and nothing lasts.

The music is really good too!!! Done by M83 which is electronica. It fits the trailer nicely. A little sample below, one of their best tracks.

God, I almost wet my pants. I've watched a ton of ski and snowboard movies and I can say, I have never ever seen anything like this. Is it September yet?

Loved the trailer. Imagery was spectacular. Talk about a shot of adrenaline, who needs drugs where you get on to a heli and ski or board on the most majestic mountains on the planet.

You want an adrenalin rush?

Go preach about converting to Christianity in a Somalian pirate camp.

Yeah, but they won't have snowballs to throw at you.

Don't know anymore with computer graphics now with photoshopping all the rage. I don't know what is real and what is not! Don't know if I believe in some of the shots here.

That's like wondering whether NBA/NFL game footage is real. This is their "game time." If they faked it, they'd lose their careers and access to do crazy stuff like this.

You can't get red bull to lend you a helicopter and skip around uncharted Patagonia when kids wont buy your snowboards and signature gear because you're a known fraud.

It's real. None of the shots were fake, perhaps the cameras that were used had special focal lengths where imagery seem endless or exaggerated.

Not much a fan of the Snowboarding thing.
But I do love mountainous, winter landscapes,
Along with some incredible cinematography.
So I'll be checking this out.
