Sarah Palin Issues Statement On Fake Facebook Page, Which Is Now Offline

Yesterday, the folks over at Wonkette, armed with a Gmail address disclosed in the leaked manuscript of former Sarah Palin aide Frank Bailey, did some sleuthing on the Internets and found a Facebook account under the name "Lou Sarah," created for the sole purpose of "liking" the actual Sarah Palin's Facebook leavings.

Today, the Presumed Actual Sarah Palin took up this matter on her own Facebook account, issuing a standard non-denial denial. Also, the "Lou Sarah" account has been closed.

In a post titled, "Iron Dogs Roarin'" the Official Palin Facebook account says:

On a side note, there's always buzz about fake Sarah Palin Facebook and Twitter accounts. Please know that this is my only authentic Facebook account and SarahPalinUSA is my only authentic Twitter account. Pay no attention to the fake accounts and their fake messages.

Wonkette's Jack Stuef provides your expert-level parsing, calling the statement from Palin "a pretty convenient way of denying things without having to answer any questions about it."

Why was "Lou Sarah" registered to her personal e-mail address, and why is the account listed as being friends with her brother and her cousins? Well, she's not willing to comment to reporters on that.

Does Sarah Palin ever explicitly say in this message that she never set up a profile under the name "Lou Sarah"? No, of course she doesn't. But she seems to hope that implicitly lumping it in with fake Facebook and Twitter profiles will make the embarrassment go away.

What has gone away is the "Lou Sarah" account.

This is a good time to remind everyone that when Palin discusses "authentic Facebook accounts" and "authentic Twitter accounts," these have a different definition of "authentic" than most users of those services apply in their daily lives -- these social media vehicles are used by Palinland at large, and when you read them, you should treat what you've read as "press releases that may or may not have been written by her."

At any rate, I remain puzzled as to why Palinland imagined they needed a sockpuppet on Facebook, considering the fact that she already has a rabid fanbase that's just as good, if not better, at "liking" the things she posts.

I knew it and said it last year that her days in the spot light for her good were numbered. I'm happy to see she is being exposed for the fraud she is. I wonder how long that rah-rah raft of hers can keep circling the drain before it finally gets swallowed up and she disappears into obscurity finally exhausting her political nocturnal emission of becoming President of the United States.

Perhaps some arm of government can launch an investigation to determine where these fradulent posts came from.....prosecute the guilty. Would that come under identity fraud?
Of course if they originated in one of her computers...............

Our country is in deep trouble. Obama is calling on giving bloodied poor Libya people support, North Koreans are threatening to attack the United States, Wisconsin protesters are in droves and people throughout the United States are gathering in droves to support them. The Governor of Wisconsin is so arrogant to say he is not swayed by the people protesting. The Whitehouse has a gov't shutdown on the table, AND STILL, we have silly things like Sarah Palin hitting the headlines defending herself once again on a silly bogus facebook name. Now I ask you, can you imagine a person like this running for President of the United States when she sits and defends herself once again on a bogus facebook page to handle the crisis our country is going thru? It's a scarey world out there!!!!

of course she denys it.....but that's the kind of school girl stuff she does.....she'd write letters supporting herself under other names.....you have to understand sarah....she didn't have much.. wasn't a great athlete....came off the bench when they were already winning...... not very coordinated.... very short...(hence, tall hair and heels) ...drama queen emotionally..she'd work hard at school but couldn't earn academic honors...her looks were all she had and they got better with age and the makeup, etc...
sarah only works on her looks and her bumpersticker slogans...can't go any deeper than that which is why she hires her writers to speak for her on these issues she can't.....she's used her looks to get her where she is ....now when she could've studied the areas that top politicians advised her to .....she hasn't ...but she's gotten the cosmetic surgery ( lipsosuction, facelift, etc. and new hair pieces, clothes)to keep her looks going for her to try and win the nomination....at least keep making money off her looks.....not her intelligence. She is too narcissistic to do anything different....she can't keep up with her lies....so she doesn't look back....she is convinced that she will not lose her followers....they are too gullible and ignorant to go look up the truth.....this is her game......she did it when she ran for governor and got out of it as they were catching onto her.

This woman is seriously psychologically disturbed. The thought that she could have been a heartbeat away from the Presidency is so frightening. I am happy to say that I did not vote for McCain/Palin and getting happier about it with each new revelation.
