Tiger Escape Drill At Japanese Zoo (VIDEO)

No one knows how to stage a tiger escape drill quite like the Japanese.

The drill, which may seem ridiculous, is actually pretty helpful, according to 16-year-old Shubei Yamaguchi, the trainer dressed as a tiger in the video. While Yamaguchi obviously isn't quite as dangerous as a Siberian Tiger, the exercise helps zoo staff practice what they would do in the event of an escaped animal.

However, the real thing might be a little scarier.

Check out a video of the drill below, where staff use sticks and nets to "subdue" the "beast," though they refrain from using the tranquilizer.
