The Chicago Children's Museum is hoping to get some adults to find their inner child at a fundraiser party this weekend.
Along with an open bar, hors d'oeuvres and dessert, the Museum will have games, activities, and a treasure hunt at its Hide and Seek Party Saturday night. There will also be a dance set spun by ZEBO, named the best local DJ of 2010 by the Chicago Reader, and Z-Trip, a pioneer of the mash-up.
Tickets come in at a somewhat steep $125 apiece ($200 for two), but for four hours of endless booze and snacks, plus great music and sure-to-be-awesome museum hijinks, that starts to look more and more reasonable. Plus, proceeds from the event go to fund the Museum's exhibits, educational programming and community outreach. And you'll get a goodie bag on your way out the door (no joke!).
The party will be on Navy Pier, where the museum is located; a controversial plan to move the Museum to a glamorous new underground location in Grant Park's Bicentennial Plaza is currently in the works.
