Oscars 2011: Viewing Parties In Los Angeles

First Posted: 02/25/11 11:59 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:35 PM ET

Oscar viewing parties in Los Angeles run the gamut from celeb-packed hotel dinners to rowdy gatherings at sports bars. If you want to do good while gossiping about red carpet choices, choose from pricey charity events like a party at The Abbey, benefitting AIDS Project Los Angeles, or a low-key fundraiser for neighborhood favorite Cinefamily. As for Oscar-viewing gourmands, we recommend Akasha Restaurant's amazing Oscar-themed menu. Have you heard of any other Oscar viewing parties? Let us know in the comments below.

Correction: An earlier version of this story included an event at the Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica. The event was held last year, in 2010, and is not scheduled to take place in 2011.
