Last day of Feb. going to work-at the I-210 Fwy. at La Tuna Canyon Rd. there is a light dusting of snow on the north side of the Verdugo Mtns. even at the sides of the freeway. It looks like Sister Elsie Peak also has snow on it. A rare occurence.

Snow in Burbank, isn't that unusual? Possibly a warmer atmosphere creates condensation- water then freezes. http://www.thompsonnde.com

It really isn't that unusual for snow to fall on the coastal mountains of California, from north to south, during the winter, especially above 2 or 3 thousand feet. Now down to sea level: that is unusual and very rare, and more so in So Cal as opposed to Central or Nor Cal. Ever hear of Alturas in the north east corner of California? Truckee? Tahoe? Plenty of snow in the winter!

In Tennessee, we had a very snowy winter, but now the weather is much warmer with temps approaching 70 degrees today. Daffodils and winter jasmine and honeysuckle are blooming. Lovely weather!

And it was in the 60's and 70's most days on the California coast from mid-January to mid-February, and then winter came back!

San Francisco is sunny, balmy (upper 40's), and absolutely delicious in its springtime glory. What planet are the guys who write the "weather" report living on? Oh, they must be Republicans living in Opposite World...

I grew up in snow...I hate it...good for the mountains, though...and good for us in the summer.

Really hoping for snow in Eagle Rock, but I don't think we're at a high enough altitude. Haven't seen snow here since I was a little kid, and then it only lasted a couple of minutes.

Wow people. If you're worried about snow go buy a shovel.

Snow in the Malibu hills two years in a row in the early 90's meant Johnny Carson worked two more years. He had a bet!

I woke up to a dusting of snow in my yard and inches on the hills both east and west. It was a funny day and very cold and then this afternoon huge snowflakes flew down the streets in our town in the Northern CA wine country. All is quiet now with a pink horizon while I'm hoping this cold front is over. It was the strangest day with sun, sleet, hail and rain and then the snow. We didn't have summer, we didn't have fall and this has been going on since the middle of September. My SAD disease is about to burst into full blown depression.

I'm taking over 1,000IUs a day now as I keep upping it. We've gone so long without a season and not that much sun and cold. I need summer and I need fall. I have a prescription for anti-Ds but don't want to take them. Now, more snow, one day of sun and then nothing but rain in the 10 day forecast. I'm doomed:-(
