Charo: Lady Gaga Is 'Madonna With Diarrhea'

Lady Gaga has gotten some heat for seemingly copping some of Maddona's act, but bowel movements have never been brought into the discussion. Until now.

Spanish singing legend Charo appeared on Sirius XM's OutQ radio show with Frank DeCaro and did little to hide the fact that she thinks that Gaga is a Madonna knock off.

"I can tell you, to me, Lady Gaga is Madonna with diarrhea," the singer said (via The Daily News). "I don't like it when somebody copies somebody and just adopt it. Like, their own idea."

While Gaga has long been accused of stealing ideas from Madonna's stage show and personality, the charges flared up when she released her song "Born This Way," which many thought was a bit of a knockoff of Madonna's "Express Yourself".

Include Charo amongst those people.

This from a Carmen Miranda ripoff who lowers the bar for herself by going on pathetic reality shows in a desperate attempt to hang onto her celebrity...the height of which resulted in a guest starring role on The Love Boat. Stick to your guitar, Cha Cha, and let Gaga have her day.

Two things;

"Born this Way" is absolutely a 'rip-off' of Madonna.

Madonna had an incredibly prolific career and I think it's probably impossible for anyone in the music industry to have 100% of their songs be 100% original, so at least Gaga is working from excellent material.

How old is Charo? Does anybody know? I have read that Madonna likes Gaga and isn't it flattery for Gaga to try and be like Madonna? If she does, I have always liked Rock and Roll and don't pay much attention to either singer.

While I have much respect for Charo as a classical flamenco guitarist and musician (I have several of her albums, Guitar Passion being my favorite), I find comments like this (while meant to be in jest) to be in the poorest taste, and actually makes me think less of Charo rather than GaGa.

As a person with consistent bowel movements, and a propensity for singing to myself on the toilet in and around odd hours of the night, I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt, that Lady Gaga is not a Madonna with Diarrhea, but merely a Charlie Sheen with a bad case of Madonna.
