Diane Sawyer And David Muir Talk Oscars (VIDEO)

WATCH: Diane Sawyer's Awkward Moment At The Oscars

Being married to a high-profile member of the Oscar Academy has its perks—and if Diane Sawyer's movie and Oscar knowledge are anything to go on, she is using them to her full advantage.

In a behind the scenes video for ABC News, Sawyer bragged to her weekend "World News" counterpart David Muir that she had seen "everything" that was nominated for an Oscar. (Presumably she's been watching those Academy screeners husband Mike Nichols gets in the mail.)

Muir almost matched her, though, with a seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of Oscar ceremonies past. He even brought up Jack Nicholson's speech at the 1975 awards—a ceremony that happened when he was just two years old. "You're good," Sawyer said when Muir played the Nicholson card.

Sawyer also recounted a slightly awkward experience she had when she went to one of the ceremonies and almost tore the train of a woman's dress off when she stepped on it. Luckily, everything turned out okay.
