The Oscars have come and gone leaving winners in a state of jubilee and nominees in the dust. While The King's Speech was pegged as this year's favorite, it was up against some heavy hitters from Inception to Black Swan and from Toy Story 3 to The Fighter. Do you think the best film won or do you think one of the other nine nominees was cheated out of their rightful gold statue?

Wow, just goes to show people at large don't have good taste. (Yeah, I know since I'm the exception it could be said that I'm the one lacking proper discernment, but that simply cannot be true!

I didn't see Winter's Bone, The Kids are All Right, or Toy Story 3, but I highly doubt that Toy Story was better than The Fighter or Social Network, and from the looks of the previews, The Kids are All Right didn't look that special.

The King's Speech was quite a letdown for me. That it won Best Picture baffles me. I didn't think it seemed interesting or remarkable from the previews or press about it, but when it won the Oscar I decided to give it a chance. It certainly wasn't horrible, but utterly forgettable.

Toy Story 3. It combined everything Hollywood says it wants: technical achievement, solid writing, great performances and direction, wonderful design, and a thoughtful concept. The others had these in bits and pieces, but TS3 had all of it in one beautiful package. But the fact that it's a "kid's movie" immediately took it out of the serious run... and that says more about the industry than it does the movie.

the golden globe is the peoples choice. the academy award is for the one the people in the industry chose and they had the right to chose who they want.

Since Facebook itself is such a major waste of time, why would the movie about its creation be anything but...........a waste of time?

I was hoping for Inception. I just saw that movie on dvd recently. It instantly became one of my top favorites. What an amazing film!

YOU didn't get it right with "The Kid's [sic] Are All Right." An apostrophe denotes ownership. A simple S woulda worked to make the plural. Work on it!
