NEW YORK - Charlie Sheen says he wants a raise to come back to the CBS show "Two and a Half Men."

The troubled star appeared on dueling morning show interviews Monday to continue an attack on CBS and producers of his hit sitcom for shutting down the show because of his off-set behavior. Both ABC's "Good Morning America" and NBC's "Today" show aired lengthy segments of their interviews in their first and second half hours.

It was startling television that overshadowed morning-after Oscars coverage. Sheen boasted about his "epic" partying, said he's fueled by "violent hatred" of his bosses, said he cleaned up from drugs at home at his "Sober Valley Lodge" and said he's "tired of pretending I'm not a total, bitchin' rock star from Mars."

NBC interviewer Jeff Rossen appeared taken aback when Sheen said he wanted to be paid $3 million an episode to return to the show. He's reportedly paid $1.8 million an episode now, one of the highest-paid actors on television.

"You want a raise?" Rossen asked.

Replied Sheen: "Yeah, look what they put me through."

On ABC, Sheen said to correspondent Andrea Canning that he planned to sue his bosses.

"Wouldn't you?" he said. "I've got a whole family to support and love. People beyond me are relying on that. I'm here to collect. They're going to lose. They're going to lose in a courtroom, so I would recommend that they settle out of court."

While Sheen said in a radio interview last week that it would be impossible to do a ninth season of "Two and a Half Men" with the show's creators in charge, he said in the television interviews he's ready to work another season.

He said CBS owes him an apology, "publicly, while licking my feet."

Sheen, who was hospitalized three times in three months, said that he's bored now with cocaine. But he said he "exposed people to magic" when they partied with him and that he loved doing drugs.

"What's not to love?" he said on ABC. "Especially when you see how I party. It was epic. The run I was on made Sinatra, Flynn, Jagger, Richards just look like droopy-eyed armless children."

ABC and Radar Online had Sheen's blood and urine tested for drugs over the weekend.

The results were "a big win for Charlie Sheen, no question," said Radar's Dylan Howard. He said the dual tests revealed Sheen hadn't had drugs in at least 72 hours.

"I am on a drug," Sheen said. "It's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body."

When Canning asked Sheen whether the people who supplied him with drugs were out of his life, Sheen hesitated.

"That's nobody's business," he said. "I think you know the answer to that."

The interviews heightened the competition between the two top-rated morning shows. ABC spokeswoman Alison Bridgman said Sheen had promised Saturday that ABC would get the only television interview last weekend but "changed his mind." Both "Today" and "Good Morning America" said they planned to air more segments of their interview on Tuesday, and ABC is planning a "20/20" special with Sheen on Tuesday.

Both networks had their own boasts: "Today" said Sheen had given NBC his "first morning show interview," while ABC said it had gotten the "first television interview since the controversy erupted."

The producers agreed to the raise.
They told Charlie "Bend over we'll give you a raise"
Its a little know fact but Charlie was originally cast as the Black Night on Monty Pythons Holy Grail
He kept saying "winning" every time a limb got cut off
He lost the part due to an inabilty to remember the line "Its only a flesh wound"

Funny. Never even watched the show. I think I turned it on for 15 minutes --so I can't comment on his merits as an actor other than a few of his films. Amazing that he makes such a ginormous amount of money per episode? We do have some weird priorities in this country when it comes to money, don't we?

I think I understand the appeal of watching Sheen, Lohan, Spears and their ilk having very public melt downs. It's the same impulse that keeps us buying magazines like People. It's reassuring to know that one can be young, gorgeous, talented and rich - and be even more screwed up than we are.

Hes not melting down he is #winning. He is more famous now than he has ever been

The media and most of the public have missed the obvious: Mr. Sheen's behavior during the interview demonstrated classic manic behavior... The guy is bipolar. He should chat with that other "star" Mrs. Spears.

Yea that's the answer just slap a label on this guy one size fits all then we'll give him some pills to "correct" the way he thinks...please psychology is a joke, he's right normal brains can't process his way of thinking, stop thinking the way everybody told you to think otherwise you will never be a great person

Chi--townfool, your run-on sentence and defensiveness makes you sound a bit manic, just like Sheen.

I used to appreciate his and his dad's politics but Charlie looks and sounds burned out.....take a Rest !

His dad Martin Sheen is a model of decency and intelligence so this
is a real pity.

A fictional Charlie Harper is amusing, mostly due to the clever writing of those he assails. A real Charlie Harper is just disgusting! I think Sheen needs better writers for his real life story. He is just mind numbingly pathetic. How about instead of $3 million per episode, the write him out and continue the show with someone that isn't as disgusting as this guy? The fact is that he didn't "turn their words into pure gold" as he suggests. Their words turned his disgusting, pathetic persona into pure gold.

If only he'd asked for a trillion dollars per episode. That way everyone would KNOW he was crazy/addicted/in denial/high--need I go on?--without having to listen or read past that one sentence.

He may wake up. He may not. Nobody HAS to hit bottom. Nobody HAS to change. The lucky ones not only hit bottom but start climbing up and away from the pit of their own making.

i feel bad for him. its like that story "flowers for algernon".

when he finally opens his eyes, to see that both media and the leeches he "parties" with are actually ripping him apart, he's going to hit the bottom harder than anyone in recent memory. then he'll REALLY lose it. we all know how that'll end.

Earth calling Charlie... come in Charlie.

Normally I have sympathy for people in addiction. I know from my own battles with nicotine addiction that the brain is a very tricky device that can derail any effort to quit. I also know that someone in his position has unique pressures and challenges, not to mention gobs of cash to buy anything he wants.

But where in the world is this guy's humility? Does he not recognize that his success is more a function of accident of birth and good luck than it is of talent? He can compare himself to Sinatra and Jagger, but come on, Charlie, at least those guys rose to the top on their own merits. Neither one of them was handed a role in an Oscar winning film with their high school diplomas.
