'Sassy Gay Friend' Takes On 'Great Expectations' (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/02/11 02:25 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:35 PM ET

It feels like ages since we last saw Sassy Gay Friend, our favorite recurring character from The Second City Network, but he's back and sassier than ever.

This time, SGF is working his magic on the tragedy that is Miss Havisham from Charles Dickens' classic "Great Expectations." There's no way he's going to let her sit there for another 30 years wearing the same dress, and happily reminds her that, "P.S. -- It's not vintage if you've been wearing it since it wasn't."

Check out the video below. We just hope that the incredibly cheesy product placement at the end of the video (and increased production value compared to his past work) means we'll be seeing a lot of more of the "stupid b***h" we love so much.

This wasn't very funny, but I've seen this guy do the sassy gay friend sketch during second city performances here in Chicago and they were much better and more importantly shorter and to the point.

I'm gay. I love gay humor. This is neither gay nor humorous. Get new writers.

Great concept, boringly executed.

They really should spend more time working on these to get them funny first.

If you want to see sassy gay done right, watch some "In Living Color" re-runs.

I agree - I have seen a better SGF on YouTube and in my life. I have had a number of friends that were the SGF and were hysterically funny - this guy falls short. If you have the SGF 'gene', you are irrepressibly funny - this guy's not even close.
