Mitch Davie Catches Bat With Beer-Free Hand (PHOTO)

First Posted: 03/07/11 06:18 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:35 PM ET

This baseball fan has his priorities straight.

The most impressive play of spring training so far came from a fan named Mitch Davie, a Brooklyn, NY native who made an incredible catch during the Atlanta Braves-Toronto Blue Jays game on Friday.

Braves second baseman Dan Uggla launched lost control of his bat and it went flying into the stands.

Davie snagged it with one hand (his beer-free hand)... saved another fan from getting hit... and didn't spill any of his Red Stripe.

Nice snag.

Here's one from last year that didn't have such a fortunate outcome...

If I were him, I would blow that up, frame it, and put it in my garage/man-room/man-cave. That is an amazing moment.

Looking at the feet and hands that are doing nothing to save someone's dome. The faces showing terror. Nice catch Bro. Hella funny!

Are all the people posting that "All the white people are cringing in fear" just ignoring the white guy with sunglasses and striped shirt that also tried to catch the bat? He's even got a grin on his face. He didn't make the catch, but don't act like you can't see his hand right next to the guy who made the catch. I would think all the comments about white and black were funny (as nothing really offends me) if it wasn't so obviously wrong by looking at the picture.

So you're saying that white people can't catch? As a white person, I agree.

Wes Welker, Jason Witten and Joe Mauer disagree with you, just to name a few.
