Obama Basketball Party

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is meeting Wednesday with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton before hosting a White House party to watch basketball.

In between, Obama will meet with the national commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Richard Eubank.

Clinton, national security adviser Tom Donilon, CIA Director Leon Panetta and other top officials have scheduled a White House session to examine the ramifications of a no-fly zone over Libya and other potential military options, but Obama is not scheduled to attend.

Obama's hometown Chicago Bulls are playing the Charlotte Bobcats Wednesday night. He has invited a bipartisan group of lawmakers from Chicago and Charlotte, N.C., to watch the game with him.

wake up to reality people, why is our supposed president making NCAA brackets, hosting basketball parties and playing golf all while japan is facing a nuclear catastrophe and the world is facing WWIII?

The President attends a much more significant party at the White House tomorrow when the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks pay a visit. The President will have the distinguished honor of shaking hands with the magnificent Jonny Toews! Here come the Hawks!

Have a good time, Mr. President. Go Bulls!

Even the President of the United States needs to blow off some steam now and then. Have a couple of beers, a nice meal and maybe a good cigar. I hope Obama enjoys the game with his friends. He'll be back at work the next morning.

If you someone has a problem with President Obama watching a basketball after all his affairs are done, I suggest you go back to work and do a double without pay.

This was a blatant attempt to defame the President. What in the world does a meeting about a no-fly zone over Libya have to do with a basketball party, when the meetings will most likely take place during the day, and the party will be at NIGHT when the game is played????

It has been demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that this President works VERY hard, harder than any other modern President. Yet the MSM and HP keep trying to imply that he's fooling around while "big stuff" is going on.

Look at the construction of the article. The headline is about a party, yet the first three paragraphs are about meetings about Libya. I thought I was on the wrong page for a minute.

Hopefully people will start to catch on to this kind of dishonesty by those who dislike the President.

The HP "news bulletin" is so misleading.

Since when does a President attend all meetings?

Hey, people the game starts at 7:00pm, maybe the party starts at 6:00pm

Relax, use some common sense and perspective here.

I would be more concerned about Congress and the Senate not having
done their jobs in the past 8 weeks.

If this insignificant game is any indication, what is going to happen when the NCAA tournament begins next week?

The Oval Office will be shuttered and Sarah Palin will be guest President for the month. Mike Huckabee will be First Lady for a Day, with Alan West subbing for Hillary Clinton. You don't think they call it March Madness for nothing?

He could've picked a better game than that. The Bobcats are a lousy squad

All party's aren't partying. This might mean the Carolinas are in play, and this can create a comfortable inroad to some voters attentions. Or he just likes the party animals in the Carolina delegation. Right.

Does your boss attend every meeting that you go to?
His boyz get together, go over many scenarios, with detailed analysis, then they present the options to him. He asks questions, and decides on a path.
That's how it works. You got a problem with that?
