Space Shuttle Landing: PHOTOS Of Discovery's Final Touchdown

Space shuttle Discovery has made its final touchdown ever.

The craft made a 225 mph touchdown at the Kennedy Space Center at 11:57 a.m EST. The landing concluded Discovery's 39th and final mission.

The craft, which was the oldest of NASA's space shuttle fleet, has flown 148 million miles, completed 5,830 orbits around Earth, and spent 365 days in space, according to the AP. It is (and should remain) the record holder for space use.
