Radiation Found On Lester Holt, NBC News Crew In Japan (VIDEO)

NBC News' Lester Holt—who is in Japan covering the earthquake and nuclear crisis there—revealed on Wednesday's "Today" show that minor traces of radiation had been found on him and his news crew.

Holt and his team had been near the location of the Fukushima nuclear power plant. All major news teams were forced to retreat from the region after the threat of a meltdown increased, but NBC had its crew screened when they got to a safer location. The tests found radiation on Holt's shoes, even after they were scrubbed completely. Holt showed a video of a man with a Geiger counter screening him, and finding the radiation.

The brave ones don't run back, manage to have pictures taken to broadcast, and do not wallow in their radiation, muck or whatever.  Those are the ones we hear from that have integrity.

The heroes of this story are the workers and engineers of this company who stayed behind to try and contain this catastrophe for the good of the country and it's people. How many executives do you think stayed behind to help? My guess is zero.

Why do we have to flood that poor nation with Prima Donna ( Certainly not Lester and a few others) news anchors ?? All they do is get in the way. There isplenty of news coming out of the country anyway. None of them (?) speak Japanese. It is not like they are going o discover something earth shattering with their investigative reporting ??
There is a ot more to all of this anyway. Lived about thirty miles from Three Mile Island. Three out of four family came down with problems, Thyroid related, and Cancer. No family history. Recently found out, that another family from the smae general area had similiar problems...thyroid related. Who knows ?? At any rate they should go home. no story is worth the potemtial risk.. Lester, Diane, Anderson,Shep, Soladad,
come home.
