Why are they still giving her movie roles?

When will she retire, move to an obscure little town, and stay away from the spotlight so I never have to hear or see of her ever again? When?

She looks awful with her hair bleached like that.

It's so matronly. Scratch that, it's geriatric. Her whole look makes her seem so ancient. Who's her stylist and makeup artist? She's attractive, but she must have ticked some people off to have them make her look like that.

Hopefully they will find someone else to play the role, she just doesn't fit to me.

The movie has already been made. Its just so bad that they are trying to hide it as best they can.

Wow, I was going to comment on how I couldn't figure out why it was that I disliked this woman so much, but after reading the majority of comments here I have found many reasons. Thank you everybody, lol.

No surprise there.

I guess that's why Hiegl dyed her hair a while back, so it would be brown like the character's hair in the book. The eyes will be off though. Hiegl's eyes are brown...Stephanie Plum's are blue.

...and I think to myself...what a wonderful world.

She should use this opportunity to take acting lessons. And get a better personality.
02:30 PM on 03/17/2011
That's disappointing. I like Evanovich's books...I don't like Katherine Hiegl.

Calm down, h8rs--detective stories, especially ones with a woman in the leading role, do better after Labor Day.

She needs to rethink that hair color.

Isn't it the worst! I can't figure out how someone with her money can't find a good colorist.
03:26 PM on 03/17/2011
Exactly! Her hair looks like she went to her stylist and said "Can you give me BEtty White's look?"

The casting pretty much makes me want to weep (and I mean ALL of it). Daniel Sunjata as Ranger is about the only one that seems like it might work. Heigl was a terrible call for Stephanie and the guy they got for Morelli is just wrong, wrong, wrong. Nothing about that snub-nosed Irishman says hot Italian.

Well said, I love the series and I'm in the midst of it and when I heard she will be playing Stephanie I almost lost my lunch

How about in a dumpster behind Arbys?

I only just noticed that when I read your comments in my mind, I unintentionally do it in Quagmire's voice.

That movie is the first made from a long running and well loved series by Janet Evanovich. Those of us who have read the books gagged at the news that the half-Italian, half-Hungarian comically inept New Jersey bounty hunter would be played by Katherine Heigl. In other words, CALLED IT!!!
01:53 PM on 03/17/2011
Don't worry about it, they are replacing her with Paris hilton for the sequel. ;)
