According to iPhoneHacks, some users have noticed that the blacklight "bleeds" from behind the LCD panel. The problem has been observed when a black background is displayed and is most apparent near the Home button.

The iPad is a major game changer providing a totally different approach towards how people access and use these devices. Apple has done it again. The problems mentioned here are typical of any product's early life cycle. Apple will be adept at using these to fine tune its product design to support the manufacturing operations.

I thought the purpose of Quality Assurance was testing, testing, testing, BEFORE the product goes out the door.

Number 1 complaint of most non-Ipad users. It's an Apple product.

Did anyone else find it weird that when they chose the picture for the caption "Yellow tint on the screen" they used an Asian guy?

I wonder if they even realized they did that....or is it just me?

Hey, I'm not the only one who noticed. Besides, I was just asking. If I had used all caps, misspelled words, or used a lot of punctuation then I could say yeah I was freaking out.

But it is interesting none-the-less. And someone else below saw it too. Thanks for being condescending though.

Having said you love it, God is going to punish you with some serious screen bleeding:

Well, the iPad 3 will be coming out later this year so never fear. Even before that I'm sure an iPad 2.5 will come out. Apple users should learn to never by the first release of the product. Always wait for the re-release or next generation if new features are added on.

The iPad 2 is not the first release of the product...hence the '2' in the title.

Although I do agree, never buy first gen anything. Cars, computers, nothing. They all have bugs they need to have ironed out so I say wait until 2nd or even 3rd gen.

It is the first release of the iPad with new features. just like there is the iphone 3G and iphone 3GS. People shouldn't have bout the iphone 3G since it was the first iphone with these new features, there are always kinks when they add new things to the product.

Have noticed all except for the yellow tint.

WiFi problems will drive you batty.

I think they rushed this into production too soon.

When the first ipad came out, criticism rushed everywhere, but the sale was still on its way, so is ipad2, so is the third company product. dvd to ipad converter. http://www.dvdtoipadconverters.org/

That's because fanboys will buy anything with an Apple logo in it. Tablets are impractical and I've heard that many people who buy them stop using them after a while.
08:24 AM on 03/22/2011
I agree with the fanboy comment but i use a Motorola Xoom and have been for over 3 months (i was given one to product test) i use it daily and it has become something i would replace immediately if lost or broken.

"fanboys will buy anything with an Apple logo in it."
Another anti-apple cultist said that about the Apple logo, but when they were presented with a list of Apple products that didn't get traction and were discontinued, they either modified their statement heavily or just never answered. I wonder which you will do?
For instance, Apple had a player that worked with iPods, called the Apple HiFi.
It had an Apple logo. Discontinued.
Consult with your cult leaders how to address this point.

01:05 PM on 03/24/2011
My iMac does a similiar thing, when I am running lots of applications it freezes up for up to 30 seconds at a time. I think it is mostly web stuff that does it, but it can happen with only one major application going at a time, like iMovie.

Yeah, real expensive. Especially compared to Xoom.
I recall paying $500 for an 80 MB (MEGAbyte!) external SCSI drive, and the same amount for a dot matrix printer (with an ink ribbon!) black and white printer. This was in the early 1990s
Yeah, that iPad is just real expensive! hahaha!

Like anyone is going to take you seriously in an apple discussion due to your name. It is obvious you will defend apple to the death no matter how big problems are.

Please tell me, you think it is ok to release a product with faulty wifi? some of the other glitches can be fixed, but really think that is ok?

My kid was so disappointed that he missed getting an iPad 2 that he went out and got a very good deal on the original. Says he'll wait for #3. But then, he makes enough money to take me to Europe so I'm not laughing at him. Much.

That's racist... Complaint Yellow Tint = Picture of Asian....
08:28 AM on 03/22/2011
Nice catch i missed that. i was to busy trying to ignore the apple user who must hold his new device up high so everyone can see what he has and hopefully ask him about it.
