Twitter is celebrating its fifth birthday on March 21, and in honor of its short but successful time on the Internet, we've put together a slideshow of some of the most memorable tweets to date.

Since its launch, Twitter has grown to nearly 200 million users, handling an average of 140 million tweets per day. It would take 10 years to read every tweet created in 24 hours, according to a recent report.
