It always feels good to receive a compliment. And on the spectrum of compliments "nice suit" is certainly better than, say, "you look like sh*t." But be warned: in the world of Hollywood, "nice suit" is not always the sincere approval of sartorial taste it might seem to be.
Occasionally it might be utilized as a come-on, but other times it can serve as a distraction maneuver directly followed by a physical attack. More often than not however "nice suit" is a weapon of psychological torment, conveying subtle condescension at best, outright derision at worst. If delivered with just the right sarcastic sneer, "nice suit" can sting worse than the most profane insult.
