Rachel Zoe's Baby On The Way: Stylist Reportedly In Labor

First Posted: 03/22/2011 6:41 pm Updated: 05/25/2011 6:40 pm

Update: It's officially a boy! Read more here.

Previously: Rachel Zoe is on her way to motherhood.

The 39-year-old stylist is reportedly in labor at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, TooFab writes. And there's certainly been enough time for Zoe to have said otherwise on Twitter. So we're guessing it's true!

In fact, Zoe first confirmed her pregnancy via everybody's favorite microblogging site in November. In January, she let slip that she was having a boy. And last month she was spotted rocking her own version of maternity wear -- a form-fitting black dress and stiletto, platform boots.

We'll keep you updated as we get more info.

STILL? This story appeared over 24 hours ago. I am getting alarmed, and I don't even care for this person.

Dang!  Isn't this Day 3 running the headline "In Labor!" ?  Can mammals BE in labor that long?  I'm sensing that with the AOL merger, maybe someone was fired because of redundancy who wasn't redundant.  They either need to bring back the Style editor who follows up on breaking stories or they need to start a science section so they can kick truly fasninating cases of prolonged labor like this to an appropriate forum...

Yes, mammals can be in labor that long.

The hold up is probably that she has had the baby but hasn't issued a press release so all media outlets are left hanging--and no one wants to drop the story and put it back up. So we wait.

I presume after 36 hours it will get too ridiculous and will get replace by a speculative piece about what labor might have been like and what the name is.

How do you let the sex of your baby "slip" via the internet? It's either you post it or you don't.

Jennifer Garner did the same thing on Jay Leno when she was pregnant with her first daughter. Once you know the sex you stop referring to the baby as "it" and start referring to it as "he" or "she". Which can make it hard if you're trying to keep it a secret.

about 7 pounds... I'm guessing that's how much Rachel will weigh after the birth.

In her entirety she only has a circumference of about 10 cm's so I don't imagine it will be any more than that.

Really? This is news? Not even that she's had the baby, but that she's in labor. Please. She's only a celebrity if you use the loosest definition of the word. HuffPo, leave this stuff to Perez.

Absolutely fascinating! I think the news that gas went down 6 cents a gallon in Marin more interesting.
