Last night, Jon Stewart interviewed best-selling author Sarah Vowell on "The Daily Show" about her new book "Unfamiliar Fishes."

The new book covers the annexation of Hawaii. Vowell described how the U.S. first became a world superpower, an "orgy of imperialism," in 1898, when it took over Cuba, the Philippines, Guam and Puerto Rico.

Stewart praised Vowell's work, stating, "I laugh, but I learn."

Love, love, love Sarah Vowell. My copy of "Unfamiliar Fishes" is on it's way from Amazon and I can't wait to get it and devour it.
